How to get here.
Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario is centrally located at the heart of the Great Lakes on the international border to the United States, connected with an excellent highway system in both Canada and the U.S. Our aviation hangar is located at the Sault Ste. Marie airport, and our main campus is a twenty-minute drive from the airport.
Here’s how to find us if driving:
From southwestern Ontario or the US: Take the Interstate 75 (I-75), enter the US via Sarnia/Port Huron or Windsor/ Detroit. Be sure to have your passport on you. It will take about five and a half hours to reach us from either border crossing.
From southern Ontario via Toronto: Take Highway 400 heading north to Highway 69, and then to Highway 17 on the Trans-Canada Highway at Sudbury, heading west to Sault Ste. Marie. It will take you about seven hours if you drive this way.
From eastern Ontario via Ottawa: Take Highway 417 towards Kanata, which becomes Highway 17 on the Trans-Canada Highway. Head west towards Sault Ste. Marie. Approximate drive time is nine hours.
From Northern Ontario and Western Canada: Take TransCanada Hwy. 17 south. It takes about eight hours to drive from Thunder Bay to Sault Ste. Marie.
How to fly to us:
Porter, Bearskin, and Air Canada all fly in and out of Sault Ste. Marie several times a day. Car rentals, cabs and limousines are available at the airport when you land.
It takes just over one hour to reach Sault Ste. Marie when you fly from Toronto.
