Benefits of CHRP

Three Certification Levels

HRPA provides three levels of certified designations: Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP), Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL), and Certified Human Resources Executive (CHRE). An HRPA designation can grow and advance your competency and expertise as an HR professional. HRPA designations also signal to employers that you have    the knowledge and expertise needed to excel in your role and drive positive impact for employees and the workplace.

Increased Earning Potential

Not only will you gain access to professional development, a wealth of resources, and a diverse and growing network, you will also increase your earnings potential with an HRPA designation. The numbers tell a compelling story as found in HRPA's landmark study:

  • HRPA-certified professionals earn 17% or $15,000+ more than non-certified professionals
  • As for specific certifications, median pay increases by as much as 240% from CHRP certification to CHRL certification (from $59k to $152k).
  • HRPA certification positively influences your chances of being promoted and pay growth, with a likelihood of being in a management role (54% with a designation, 37% without).

Professional Value

Human Resources is a Tier 1 regulated profession — like lawyers, social workers or accountants. While regulation for HR professionals is voluntary, HR is becoming  more complex and  challenging. That’s why qualified, expert and regulated HR professionals add more strategic value to businesses — and the bottom line.

HRPA regulates the profession and delivers the best in guidance, resources, and professional development for HR professionals as they respond to evolving employee needs and lead workplaces into the future.
